Privacy Policy

This policy explains how ACOMM Ventures, Inc. (“ACOMM”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit acomm.ai (the “Site”), contact us, or apply to work with us. We collect as little as we can, we never sell it, and we don’t use it for advertising.

1. Who we are

ACOMM Ventures, Inc. is the data controller for the Site. ACOMM Ventures, Inc., Austin, Texas, USA. For anything about your privacy, email privacy [at] acomm [dot] ai.

2. What we collect

• Speedway contact form: your name and email address, and your company and website if you give them.
• Investor form: your name and email address, and your firm and message if you give them.
• Emails and applications: anything you send to our email addresses, including a résumé or portfolio.
• Analytics, only if you accept cookies: how you use the Site, such as pages viewed, buttons clicked and your approximate location, through Google Analytics 4.
• Technical data: your IP address, browser and the page that referred you, which our hosting and font providers receive automatically to deliver the Site.

We don’t collect payment information, and we don’t knowingly collect sensitive personal data. Please don’t send it to us.

3. How we use it

• To reply to your enquiry and continue the conversation you started.
• To consider your application for a role.
• To understand how the Site is used and improve it, if you’ve accepted analytics cookies.
• To keep the Site secure, prevent spam and abuse, and meet our legal obligations.

We don’t make automated decisions about you, and we don’t profile you for advertising.

4. Our legal basis

Where data protection laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we rely on:

• Legitimate interests to reply to enquiries, consider applications and keep the Site secure.
• Consent for analytics cookies. You can withdraw it at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.
• Steps before a contract where you ask us about working together.
• Legal obligations where the law requires us to keep or share data.

5. Who we share it with

We never sell, rent or trade your personal data. We share it only with service providers that process it for us, under contracts that require them to protect it:

• Vercel Inc. hosts the Site and runs our form handling.
• Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox by email.
• Google LLC provides Google Analytics (only if you accept) and serves the Site’s font through Google Fonts.
• Our email provider stores the messages you send us.

We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

6. Where it’s processed

We and our providers process data in the United States. If you’re in the UK or European Economic Area, your data is transferred to the US with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

7. How long we keep it

• Enquiries and form submissions: up to 24 months from our last contact with you, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Applications: up to 24 months, so we can contact you about future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
• Analytics data: up to 14 months, then deleted automatically by Google Analytics.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal data we hold about you and give you a copy;
• correct it if it’s wrong;
• delete it;
• stop or limit how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format;
• withdraw your consent, for example to analytics cookies.

Residents of California, Texas and other US states with privacy laws have the right to know, correct and delete their personal data, and to opt out of its sale. We don’t sell or share personal data for advertising. We won’t treat you differently for using your rights.

To use any of these rights, email privacy [at] acomm [dot] ai. We’ll reply within 30 days. If you’re in the UK or EEA, you can also complain to your data protection authority, such as the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK.

9. Cookies

We only use analytics cookies if you accept them. Our Cookie Policy lists every cookie and explains how to change your choice.

10. Security

The Site is served over encrypted HTTPS. Form submissions travel encrypted to our email inbox, and only the people who need them can access them. No system is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

11. Children

The Site is for businesses and professionals. It isn’t aimed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us personal data, email us and we’ll delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top.
